Roman Reigns Injured & Written Off WWE TV—But His Next Move Will Shock Fans
WWE fans got some shocking news on Monday Night Raw—Roman Reigns is officially out of action “indefinitely.”
The announcement came from Michael Cole, who revealed that Reigns suffered multiple fractured ribs after a brutal post-match beatdown at Clash in Paris. The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed didn’t hold back—spearing the Tribal Chief through the announce table before crushing him with multiple Tsunami splashes.

The attack ended with Reigns being stretchered out of the arena, writing him off WWE TV for the foreseeable future.
Why WWE Pulled Reigns From TV
While fans are worried, the timing is no coincidence. Behind the scenes, Roman Reigns (real name Joe Anoa’i) is about to take on one of the biggest projects of his career outside the ring—starring as Akuma in the upcoming live-action Street Fighter movie. Filming begins September 2 in Australia, with production expected to run through the end of the month.
The cast also includes Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, and the movie will be directed by Kitao Sakurai. Clearly, Reigns is stepping into major Hollywood territory while WWE hits pause on his storyline.
What This Means for WWE Storylines
With Reigns out, WWE will likely put his feud with The Vision on hold. But that doesn’t mean the faction gets off easy—Jey Uso already confronted them on Raw, teasing that he might carry the torch until his cousin makes his big comeback.
When Will Roman Reigns Return?
Even though he’s sidelined, Reigns is still being advertised for Survivor Series on November 29 at Petco Park in San Diego. That means fans won’t have to wait too long before the Tribal Chief returns to reclaim his spot at the head of the table.
Until then, expect Jey Uso and The Vision to keep the fire burning while Reigns conquers Hollywood.
