Matt Riddle Explodes: Calls CM Punk a “Creep” & Blasts UK Promotion Over No-Show Drama

Matt Riddle isn’t holding back. The former WWE star has gone on a fiery rant, not only addressing his controversial no-show at a U.K. wrestling event but also taking a direct shot at CM Punk, calling him a “creep” for lurking around WWE NXT.

Riddle recently appeared on TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast, where he tackled the backlash from fans and promoters after missing a booking with Global Wrestling Kingdom (G.W.K.). Reports accused him of pocketing a deposit and skipping the show, but Riddle fired back hard:

“I woke up to death threats, man. People saying I scammed a charity. But here’s the truth—this wasn’t even a charity event until the last second. I do real charity shows all the time and don’t take a dime. But I’m not flying to London in a middle seat with no meal, no bag, and no plan. That’s insane.”

The King of Bros explained that he tried to work with promoters on alternative appearances like meet-and-greets but wasn’t willing to sit idle in London for two days.

“I’ve got idle hands, bro. If I sit around doing nothing, I get into trouble. I knew if I was stuck in a hotel for two days, I might not even make the show.”

Adding fuel to the fire, Riddle blasted G.W.K. for continuing to promote him after knowing he wouldn’t show:

“They kept advertising me like I was still coming. That’s a scumbag move. No disrespect to anyone else on the card, but let’s be real—I’m the King of Bros.”

Riddle also accused the promotion of leaking the story to wrestling media outlets to stir controversy.

But the most shocking part of his appearance came when he took aim at CM Punk.

“Look, I don’t have ill will towards Punk. He’s a nice enough guy, but I think he’s fake, I think he’s a creep. People say I’m a creep, but I’ve done nothing wrong. And Punk? He’s just lingering around the NXT locker room way too much. It’s weird, bro.”

With Riddle juggling death threats, fan backlash, and now a war of words with CM Punk, it’s clear he’s not planning to back down anytime soon.
