“Who Cares?” – WWE Legend Tears Apart Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins’ RAW Segment After Wrestlepalooza
The road to Crown Jewel 2025 is already heating up, but not everyone is impressed. On the latest episode of WWE RAW, fans witnessed a fiery face-off between Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins just days after Wrestlepalooza. The two exchanged brutal verbal shots, setting the stage for their highly anticipated Champion vs. Champion showdown at Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia, on October 11.
But former WWE writer Vince Russo wasn’t buying the hype. Speaking on his Legion of RAW podcast, Russo blasted the segment, calling it a complete waste of time.
“Bro, think about how ridiculous this is. You got a 23-minute promo opening up the show over a ring that isn’t even Crown Jewel anymore because it’s in Australia. I swear to God, bro, they’ll throw anything on this show—absolutely anything.”
And Russo didn’t stop there. He also ripped into the shocking heel turn of Asuka and Kairi Sane, claiming the Evansville crowd couldn’t have cared less about the Kabuki Warriors’ betrayal.

“By the time you got to that last match, nobody cared. Kairi is turning on this one and that one is turning on that—who freaking cares? Now we got a big tag match? Please.”
While Russo was busy tearing RAW apart, Cody Rhodes was showing respect to one of Seth Rollins’ own allies. In a pre-Wrestlepalooza interview, Rhodes called Bron Breakker the future of WWE.
“I love Bron Breakker… and I didn’t think this at first, but I do now—he’s the future of WWE. He’s definitely someone we’re positioning to be there as we go.”
With Rollins’ Vision faction gaining momentum and Rhodes carrying the Undisputed WWE Championship, Crown Jewel is shaping up to be one of the most explosive Premium Live Events of the year—even if Vince Russo isn’t a fan of the build-up.
