“I Was Left To Die!” – Ric Flair Exposes WWE’s Dark Secrets And How He Took His Legacy Back

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has never been one to hold his tongue — and in a shocking new revelation, “The Nature Boy” just dropped explosive truths about WWE’s greed, betrayal, and how he nearly lost everything while fighting for his life.

Speaking on the Games With Names podcast, Flair opened up about how WWE tried to take control of his name and image while he was battling death.

“There are only two people who own their intellectual property in WWE history — me and The Rock,” Flair revealed. “Hogan owned his, but now he’s in a terrible mess with his family fighting over his money.”

Flair then revealed the shocking truth behind how he got back what was rightfully his:

“When I was dying — I was on life support for 14 days — everybody cashed in. My agent stole $150,000. If I had died, it would’ve gone to court depending on my will. Everyone thought I was gone. When I survived, I found out WWE had been sending letters asking me to sign over my intellectual property. I didn’t sue — I just said, ‘I’m going public. Give me my stuff back!’

Flair’s story paints a chilling picture of how the wrestling business can turn cold, even for legends.

Ric Flair Slams WWE For Refusing To Unionize

Flair didn’t stop there. He also called out WWE’s billion-dollar empire for not protecting its talent with a union.

“How do we not have a union? We’re a multi-billion-dollar company,” Flair questioned. “Nobody wants to push for it because they know WWE will just move on without them.”

The 16-time world champion recalled that even Hulk Hogan and Jesse Ventura once approached him about starting a union — but Flair knew the risks.

“Hulk called me and said, ‘Let’s do it.’ Jesse drove me crazy about it. But I told them, if I walk out, they’ll just put the belt on someone else. WWE doesn’t wait for anyone.”

Flair’s brutally honest comments pull back the curtain on the cutthroat nature of WWE’s corporate world — where even legends can be replaced in an instant.

🔥 In short: Ric Flair almost died, got betrayed by people he trusted, and had to fight WWE itself to reclaim his legacy.

“I was going to die,” Flair said. “And when I didn’t — I made damn sure I got everything back.”
