Sunny Alleges Paul Heyman Cost Her a Massive $170,000: “He Manipulated Everyone”
WWE Hall of Famer Sunny (Tammy Lynn Sytch) has come forward with a shocking claim about her time in ECW—accusing Paul Heyman of costing her and Chris Candido a staggering $170,000 before they left for WCW.
In a new interview with Inside The Ropes, Sunny opened up about her rocky relationship with Heyman and the financial chaos she says unfolded behind the scenes.
Sunny didn’t hold back:
“I call Paul Heyman ‘the hypnotist’—he can make you believe anything. If there’s anyone I’d put a bullet between the eyes, it’s him. And that’s because he cost me $170,000.”
According to her, she and Candido were in charge of handling travel for the ECW roster. Every month, they put $30,000–35,000 worth of tickets on their personal American Express card. Heyman would reimburse them, and everything ran smoothly—until it didn’t.
Sunny explained that after they stopped working for ECW, the travel agent continued charging all company flights to the same card, even though they were no longer being paid — and the bills piled up for months.
Things got worse when WCW came calling.
Sunny revealed that even as they tried to join WCW, ECW repeatedly blocked the move:
“Four weeks in a row, we were dressed and ready to go out on Nitro, and every time, a fax would come in saying we were still under ECW contract. So we couldn’t work.”
Finally, they were given an ultimatum:
Sign away the $170,000 debt and agree not to sue Paul Heyman — or stay under ECW contract for two more years with zero income.
To move forward with their careers, Sunny says they had no choice but to accept the massive loss.
“We had to swallow $170,000 because of that beast.”
