🚨 “Everything Was Messed ”Up”—Jerry “The King” Lawler Breaks Silence on Stroke Recovery & Life-Changing Aftermath

WWE legend Jerry “The King” Lawler is continuing his tough road to recovery—and this time, he’s opening up honestly about the struggles he’s still facing.

The WWE Hall of Famer suffered another stroke back in September, adding to previous health scares in 2019 and 2023. While fans around the world have been praying for his comeback, Lawler admits the journey hasn’t been easy.

Speaking recently with Action News 5 in Memphis, Lawler gave a raw update on where he stands today. One of the biggest changes? He revealed that he is now color blind following the stroke—a permanent reminder of how serious the episode was.

When asked how he’s feeling overall, Lawler didn’t sugarcoat it.

“I get that question 50 times a day,” Lawler said. “I like to say maybe a six or seven out of ten. I’ll get up to seven, then drop back to six again.”

The King also recalled the terrifying moment the stroke hit. He was alone in Florida when he woke up one morning and immediately knew something was wrong.

“You never know when it’s going to happen,” Lawler explained. “I woke up and everything was messed up. I had to call Lauren to come down from Memphis and get me to the hospital.”

Despite the setbacks, Lawler’s fighting spirit remains intact—something fans have come to expect from the legendary commentator and wrestler. While his recovery continues to have ups and downs, his willingness to share the truth shows just how much heart The King still has.

Fans everywhere continue to rally behind Jerry Lawler, hoping to see him hit that “10 out of 10” again someday. 👑
