Logan Paul Drops the Act on RAW and Says This WWE Star Is the Real Future

Logan Paul is known for staying firmly in character on WWE television, but this week on RAW, the lines blurred in a way fans didn’t expect.

While backstage at RAW, Paul briefly stepped away from his cocky heel persona and offered genuine praise for a rising star — and it wasn’t someone from his own Vision faction.

In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, Paul was shown watching Je’Von Evans compete against Bravo Americano. Instead of sarcasm or trash talk, the former United States Champion sounded completely sincere as he reacted to Evans’ performance.

According to Paul, Evans isn’t just impressive — he’s the future of WWE.

He openly called Evans “insane” and highlighted his move set, making it clear that the young star caught his full attention. Paul even placed Evans in elite company, suggesting that if the entire roster operated at the level of himself, The Vision, and Evans, WWE would be impossible to look away from.

For a Superstar who rarely gives credit to anyone outside his circle, the moment stood out as a rare glimpse of honesty from Logan Paul.

That honesty has also sparked debate among wrestling legends.

WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam recently weighed in on Paul’s WWE run during a Games Hub interview. While RVD acknowledged Paul’s natural talent and star presence, he also pointed out the gap that experience creates.

Van Dam explained that Paul is clearly an exception — exceptionally good at what he does — but noted that in-ring experience can’t truly be fast-tracked. According to RVD, wrestlers who’ve shared the ring with Paul say it doesn’t always feel like wrestling a seasoned veteran, even if it looks that way on television.

Still, RVD gave Paul his credit. He admitted that Logan is far ahead of where most newcomers would be and fits today’s version of WWE far better than he would have in earlier eras. In a locker room filled with fewer old-school gatekeepers, Paul’s rise makes more sense — and works.

Between Paul breaking character to praise Je’Von Evans and legends continuing to debate his place in WWE, one thing is clear: RAW’s backstage moments are becoming just as interesting as what happens in the ring.
