Jimmy Uso’s WWE Disappearance Explained: Backstage Reason Finally Comes Out
Jimmy Uso’s sudden absence from WWE television has not gone unnoticed — and now, the real reason behind it has surfaced.
The WWE World Tag Team Champion has missed multiple episodes of RAW along with several overseas live events, including the recent UK and Ireland tour. What made the situation even more obvious was Jey Uso appearing alone, soaking in massive solo “YEET” chants from fans, particularly during the Belfast show.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jimmy Uso is currently away due to a family-related matter. The report makes it clear that his time off has nothing to do with injuries, creative disagreements, or any past off-screen controversies. Instead, WWE has quietly granted him leave to handle real-life responsibilities.

Meltzer noted that WWE has long been supportive when talent needs time away for personal reasons, especially when family is involved. That same discretion is being applied here, which explains why Jimmy’s absence hasn’t been directly addressed on television.
As of now, there is no confirmed timetable for Jimmy Uso’s return. WWE is keeping the situation low-key, and fans should expect updates only when there is something concrete to report.
Meanwhile, Jey Uso has continued to carry the load on the red brand. The Usos captured the WWE World Tag Team Championship on December 29 by defeating Dragon Lee and AJ Styles, and since then, Jey has been representing the team on his own during weekly programming and live events.
Jey Uso, real name Jonathan Fatu, remains one of WWE’s most popular stars, known for his deep ties to The Bloodline storyline alongside Roman Reigns and for his long history of championship success in tag team competition.
For now, Jimmy Uso’s focus remains off-screen — and WWE is giving him the space to handle what matters most.
