Bronson Reed Reveals Why His Seth Rollins World Title Match Was Cancelled—And How It Led To A Bigger Moment

Bronson Reed has opened up about a massive world title opportunity that slipped away—and why he believes everything ultimately worked out in his favor.

The powerhouse was originally set to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at the 2024 Elimination Chamber premium live event in Australia. For Reed, the match would have been a career-defining moment in his home country. However, plans quietly fell apart before they could ever reach the ring.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Unlikely podcast, Reed explained that a series of unexpected events forced WWE to scrap the bout. Rollins suffered a knee injury around that time, while Reed himself had to step away when his wife went into early labor, welcoming their child sooner than expected.

Despite the disappointment, Reed believes the timing wasn’t wrong—just different.

According to Reed, facing Rollins for the championship in Australia would have been huge, but fate had other plans. Instead, one year later, Reed returned home and defeated Roman Reigns on Australian soil, a moment he now views as even more special.

Reed admitted that the cancelled title match was frustrating at the time, but looking back, he feels everything happened for a reason and ultimately elevated his career in a different way.

Adding another twist to the story, Reed and Rollins would later find themselves on the same side. In 2025, the two became allies as part of The Vision, forming an unlikely partnership after once being lined up as rivals. That alliance didn’t last forever, though, as Rollins was eventually kicked out of the faction.

Reed spoke highly of working with Rollins, both as an opponent and a teammate. He noted that teaming with Seth—alongside Bron Breakker—wasn’t something he ever expected, but it became one of the more rewarding experiences of his WWE run. Now, with Rollins back on the opposite side, Reed’s path feels full circle once again.

While the world title match never happened, Bronson Reed’s journey proves that sometimes missing one opportunity can lead to an even bigger moment down the line.
