CM Punk Breaks Silence on WWE Future—Retirement Not Even on His Radar
CM Punk has finally addressed the biggest question surrounding his WWE comeback, and the answer will excite fans who feared his run might be nearing its end.
After a turbulent exit from AEW that left many questioning his longevity in pro wrestling, several insiders believed Punk’s best days were behind him. Locker-room controversy, injuries, and time away from WWE led to widespread doubts about whether “The Second City Saint” could still perform at an elite level.
Triple H saw things very differently.
With Vince McMahon no longer running day-to-day creative and Nick Khan overseeing business operations, WWE had evolved into a very different company than the one Punk walked away from nearly a decade ago. Multiple discussions between Punk and Triple H paved the way for his shocking return at the end of 2023 — a moment that instantly reignited his career and stunned the wrestling world.
Fast forward to 2026, and CM Punk is not just back—he’s thriving.

Far from slowing down, Punk has delivered some of the strongest work of his entire career, earning respect from WWE management and praise from peers who’ve noticed a major shift in his mindset and locker-room presence. While skeptics still exist, his in-ring performances and consistency are doing the talking.
During a recent appearance on No-Contest Wrestling with O’Shea Jackson Jr. and TJ Jefferson, Punk made it clear that retirement isn’t even a consideration right now.
“I really don’t know,” Punk admitted when asked about stepping away. “I almost don’t like talking about it because I don’t think it’s going to be anytime soon.”
He went on to explain that his focus is purely on staying healthy and maximizing what he believes is the best run of his career.
“I’m just trying to keep myself in one piece because I feel like I’m on the run of my life,” Punk said. “I think I’m doing the best work I’ve ever done. Why would I want to step away from that now? I always want to give 100 percent and leave it all in that ring. I never want to give less than that.”
For WWE fans, the message is crystal clear: CM Punk isn’t winding down — he’s just getting started on what could be a defining chapter of his legacy.
