“I’m About To SLAP CM Punk”: Roman Reigns’ Family Member Explodes Over Dead Father Comment On WWE Raw

A member of Roman Reigns’ legendary Samoan dynasty has fired back at CM Punk following controversial remarks about The Tribal Chief’s late father on Monday Night Raw.

The final segment of WWE Raw took an intensely personal turn when Punk and Reigns came face-to-face ahead their WrestleMania 42 showdown for Punk’s World Heavyweight Championship. During the heated exchange, Punk crossed a line that has now triggered a response from within Reigns’ own bloodline.

Punk told Reigns he would “bury him next to his father” – a direct reference to Sika Anoa’i, the WWE Hall of Famer and Reigns’ father who passed away in June 2024.

The comment did not sit well with Zilla Fatu, son of the late Umaga and member of the renowned Samoan wrestling family. During his live stream reacting to Raw, Fatu made his feelings crystal clear.

“I am not a CM Punk fan no more,” Fatu declared, his frustration evident. “I’m about to SLAP CM Punk when I see him!”

He didn’t stop there, issuing what amounts to a warning shot to The Best in the World.

“Y’all clip this st. When I see you CM Punk, I’m gonna slap the fk out of you.”

Fatu, who has been making waves on the independent scene, recently challenged MJF for the AEW World Championship at House of Glory’s “No Turning Back” event. While speculation has swirled for months about whether he might follow family tradition and sign with WWE – either through a full-time deal or the WWE ID program – nothing has materialized yet.

For now, the younger Anoa’i family member appears more focused on settling a personal score than any contract negotiations.

Punk’s comments have divided the WWE Universe, with some arguing it was simply part of the story while others believe mentioning a real-life deceased parent crosses an unwritten line. Based on Fatu’s reaction, at least one member of the family isn’t treating this as just business as usual.
