Penta Sends a Clear Message to WWE: “My Brother is the Best in the World”
Fresh off his Intercontinental Championship victory, WWE’s newest sensation Penta is already looking toward the future—and it involves family.
In a candid conversation on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast with hosts O’Shea Jackson Jr. and T.J. Jefferson, the star known for tearing arms in the ring opened up about the one person he believes truly steals the show: his younger brother, Rey Fenix.
While Penta is currently basking in the glory of singles gold, his mind wandered to the high-flying spectacle that is his brother. When asked about Fenix, Penta didn’t hold back, calling him the greatest luchador on the planet.
“In my heart, my brother is the best,” Penta shared. “He’s seven years younger, which is why he’s so fast. When I watch him wrestle, I just think, ‘Wow.’ It’s incredible. It’s an honor just to stand next to him in a tag team.”
And speaking of tag teams, Penta dropped a major hint about his ultimate goal in the company. He envisions a future where he and Fenix are holding championship gold together, describing WWE as “the best company in the universe.”
“I want the tag titles—imagine it,” he said with a grin. “The best tag team in the universe, holding those titles in the best company in the universe.”
With Fenix currently making his own waves over on SmackDown, fans have been eagerly waiting for the inevitable reunion. Penta reassured everyone that it’s only a matter of time, admitting that the moment the Lucha Bros finally link up in WWE, chaos will ensue.
“It’s going to be crazy,” he promised. “Right now, he’s building his path, and I’m focused on mine. But when we get together again? Just wait. Believe me, it’s going to happen.”
The brothers were originally scheduled to team up back in December against Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano, but an injury to Penta put those plans on ice. Now healthy and holding gold, the stage seems set for one of the most anticipated reunions in recent memory.
