“It’s a No From Me, Dog”: WWE Flexes Muscle, Shuts Down Logan Paul’s NFL Boxing Circus
Logan Paul had a new money-making scheme up his sleeve, but his bosses at WWE just pulled the plug on it before it could even get started.
The YouTube star turned wrestler recently threw down a massive $1 million challenge, daring any active NFL player to step into the boxing ring with him. It seemed like classic Logan Paul material—a high-profile, high-stakes spectacle designed to break the internet. A few players from the gridiron, like Dion Dawkins, Brock Hoffman, and Kingsley Suamataia, even raised their hands, ready to trade their cleats for gloves.
But just as things were getting interesting, the party was over before it began. And the person shutting it down? It wasn’t a boxing commission or a concerned parent—it was the World Wrestling Entertainment machine itself.
According to Paul, who spilled the tea during a casual livestream, he got a very direct phone call from a WWE official. The message was clear: stand down. The reason? They were worried their prized Superstar might get a boo-boo.
“One, we don’t want you to get injured,” the official reportedly told Paul. “It’s just unnecessary risk, like you don’t know if you slip, you fall. We don’t want to risk any injury… we just would prefer for you not to be boxing.”
Did Logan Paul Push Back?

You better believe it. The ever-confident “Maverick” tried to argue his case, pointing out that the danger was probably minimal since the NFL players interested didn’t exactly have deep boxing pedigrees.
But WWE wasn’t having any of it. They put their foot down, making it crystal clear that outside activities that aren’t part of their programming are a no-go. They weren’t about to let their investment potentially get knocked out in a real fight, even if the opponent was an amateur.
In the end, the man who made a name for himself by doing whatever he wanted had to admit who signs his checks.
“At the end of the day, I’m a WWE Superstar and my loyalty is with WWE,” Paul conceded. “If I do not have their blessing to do some extracurricular activities that are unrelated to WWE like boxing, as much as I would love to do it, I gotta honor my job and my commitment to my profession.”
So, for now, the $1 million boxing challenge is officially on ice. It looks like WWE would rather keep their Superstar healthy for scripted drama than let him test his luck in an unscripted brawl.
