“He Went Too Far”: Why Roman Reigns Just No-Showed RAW After Punk’s Shocking Low Blow

The road to WrestleMania just hit a massive speed bump, and for once, it wasn’t caused by The Rock. We are just weeks away from the colossal World Heavyweight Championship clash between Roman Reigns and CM Punk at WrestleMania 42. Everyone expected the temperature to rise, but after last week, things got volcanic.

During a tense face-off on RAW, The Best in the World decided to play dirty. Really dirty. In an attempt to get under the skin of The OTC, Punk didn’t just go after Reigns’ title or his ego. He went after his family.

In a line that left the WWE Universe stunned silent, Punk made a reference to the late Sika Anoa’i, Roman’s father and WWE Hall of Famer, who passed away not too long ago. He essentially promised to “bury” Reigns, using the pain of that recent loss as fuel for the fire.

It was the ultimate line-crosser. The kind of insult that, in the world of pro wrestling, usually guarantees an instant beatdown. The crowd braced for chaos. They expected Roman to explode, fists flying, security be damned.

But then… nothing.

The Tribal Chief Was a No-Show

While the internet was melting down, waiting for Roman to emerge from the shadows and seek retribution, WWE officially confirmed that Roman Reigns was not scheduled to be on RAW this week.

You read that right. The Head of the Table, the man who built his empire on immediate and violent retaliation, stayed home.

His absence spoke louder than any promo could. It leaves us with a burning question: Is Punk actually in his head?

To make matters even more bizarre, CM Punk was shown backstage laughing it up with Jimmy and Jey Uso—Reigns’ own cousins. The visual of Punk, the man who just disrespected their uncle, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Roman’s family, while Roman was nowhere to be found, adds a layer of psychological warfare we haven’t seen before.

Is this a sign of weakness from the champion? Is Reigns so furious that creative has decided to hold him back until the last possible second to prevent him from murdering Punk before the pay-per-view?

WWE is playing a dangerous game here. By keeping Roman off-screen after such a personal attack, they are betting on the long game. They are telling us that Punk’s words landed with a thud, and maybe, just maybe, they cut deeper than any spear ever could.

Don’t blink, though. In WWE, silence is often followed by a storm. And when Roman finally resurfaces, it might not be pretty for anyone standing in his way.
