The Secret Message Hidden in Jacob Fatu’s WWE Entrance Music Finally Explained
There is something about Jacob Fatu that makes it impossible to look away when he walks to the ring. The way he moves, the intensity in his eyes, and that chilling entrance music all combine to create a moment every single week. But it turns out that creepy intro fans have been trying to decipher actually carries a much deeper meaning than anyone realized.
Fans have been buzzing about the Samoan Werewolf’s presentation since he arrived in WWE, but a recent revelation adds a whole new layer of emotion to his performance. While sitting down to promote the upcoming WWE 2K26 video game, Fatu opened up about the specific inspiration behind the spoken words that kick off his theme song.
It is a tribute to family legacy. Specifically, a tribute to his uncle, the late and great Umaga.

According to Fatu, the words fans hear at the very beginning of his entrance are, “Tasi, Lua, Tolu.” For those who don’t speak Samoan, that translates to one, two, three. It is a direct callback to the days of Umaga, who would count over his fallen opponents in the exact same way before driving them into the mat with the Samoan Spike.
“When a lot of people’s trying to figure out what I’m saying, it’s, ‘Tasi, Lua, Tolu.’ In Samoan, it means one, two, three. It’s something that Umaga used to say when he used to beat his opponents. Hit the Samoan Spike and pin them, he’ll go, ‘Tasi, Lua, Tolu,’” Fatu explained.
It is a small detail that makes his entrance feel less like a walk to the ring and more like a passing of the torch. Fatu is just the latest member of the legendary Anoa’i family to make waves in WWE, following in the footsteps of Roman Reigns, The Usos, and of course, The Rock. But carrying that specific piece of Umaga’s spirit with him every night adds a unique weight to his presence.
Right now, the former MLW star is focused on bigger things. While WWE hasn’t made anything official just yet, it certainly looks like Fatu is on a direct path toward Drew McIntyre as we head toward WrestleMania 42. If that matchup actually happens, don’t be surprised if Fatu needs to count to three in Samoan once the bell rings.
