“I Want Charlotte Flair At SummerSlam” – WWE Champion Drops WrestleMania Bombshell

With WrestleMania 42 just around the corner, one of WWE’s biggest stars isn’t even on the card – and another champion just made it personal.

Charlotte Flair finds herself without a match at The Showcase of the Immortals this year, but that hasn’t stopped one current titleholder from looking ahead to a blockbuster showdown later this summer.

Jade Cargill sat down with the “Complex Graps” podcast this week and made her intentions crystal clear. While she’ll be watching WrestleMania from the sidelines like the rest of us when it comes to Flair, The Storm has already circled a date on her calendar.

“The person I want to see at SummerSlam, since I’m not seeing them at ‘Mania, is Charlotte Flair,” Cargill revealed. “It’s already there.”

The reigning WWE Women’s Champion didn’t hold back when explaining why she’s got her sights set on The Queen.

“It’s about breaking her. She’s stoic; I am stoic. But she’s very, like, you know. So I think it will be a great match. And I know Charlotte is known for pulling people up and making them better – that’s the people I want to work with.”

But Cargill wasn’t finished. The former AEW star opened up about the criticism that’s followed her since day one in WWE – the constant chatter about her in-ring abilities.

“I mean, I want to wrestle,” she said when asked about fans who claim she’s not ready for the spotlight. “When you become champion, you want to defend your title as much as possible. We have a stellar locker room, but they’re all tied in the tag division, making that strong. I get it, but I want to wrestle.”

The list of names Cargill wants to step in the ring with reads like a who’s who of WWE’s women’s division: Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, even a rematch with Tiffany Stratton that she says would “solidify my win.”

Then there’s Nia Jax – the woman responsible for Cargill’s injury layoff.

“The person that injured me or had me out was Nia Jax, and I think that would be something we can run back,” Cargill stated.

When the conversation turned to her critics, Cargill didn’t mince words about the “Jadeberg” label that’s followed her.

“I’ve been called ‘Jadeberg.’ They tell me I can’t wrestle. The kill shot is, ‘You can’t wrestle.’ Just say it. ‘Well, you can’t wrestle.’ That’s all you can say. Guess what I’ll say? I can’t tell, I’m a champion. Been a champion in two companies. I can’t tell, I’ve been on billboards. I can’t tell, I make a lot of money.”

She added, “That’s the kill shot that you can say, and I promise you I can bounce back from anything. There’s nothing that someone can say that can make me feel less than or make me cry, because I know I’m witty and I come back hard.”

But Cargill drew a firm line when it came to her family. “The only thing I ask is don’t talk about my kids.”

For now, all eyes are on WrestleMania 42 – but Cargill has already made it clear where she wants to be when the summer heat arrives. And if she gets her way, The Queen will be standing across the ring from her when the lights shine brightest at SummerSlam.
