Roman Reigns Makes a Grim Promise to Fans After RAW Goes Off the Air – “Backlash Will Not Look Like This”

After WWE RAW went off the air this week, Roman Reigns had a stark message for everyone watching at home. The main event segment saw Jacob Fatu leave the Tribal Chief lying flat on the mat, standing tall as the show came to an end. But according to Reigns, what fans witnessed Monday night won’t be repeated when it counts the most.

Speaking directly to the crowd once the cameras stopped rolling, Reigns acknowledged the outcome of the contract signing for their WWE Backlash match this Saturday. He didn’t brush off what happened, but he made one thing painfully clear to Jacob Fatu and anyone else listening.

Do not let tonight fool you. Saturday at Backlash will not look like this. I promise you that.

Reigns went on to explain just how personal this fight has become. He talked about how hard he has worked to keep his spot at the top of the company and made it clear he has no intention of handing over control just yet.

I have busted my tail for too long. I have held my ground in this company for too long, and I am not letting it go just yet. No way.

He then shifted his focus directly to Fatu with a warning that felt more like a guarantee. Reigns told the crowd in Tampa that they would see something completely different from what played out in Omaha. He promised to handle business and leave Backlash still standing as the Head of the Table and the Tribal Chief above all.

At Backlash, I am whooping Jacob’s backside. At Backlash, it is and still. At Backlash, you are looking at the Head of the Table and the Tribal Chief above all.

Whether Reigns can back up those words remains to be seen, but one thing is certain. The version of Roman Reigns that showed up on RAW is not the same one Jacob Fatu will meet this Saturday.
