Becky Lynch Hints at Retirement: WWE Star Says Her Current Contract May Be Her Last
Becky Lynch may be nearing the end of her legendary in-ring journey. One of WWE’s biggest stars has openly suggested that her days as a full-time performer are numbered, revealing that her current contract could be the final chapter of her wrestling career.
Lynch made the emotional admission during the premiere episode of WWE: Unreal Season Two, where she reflected on returning to the ring after stepping away and the personal toll that life on the road has taken on her.
After welcoming her daughter Roux with Seth Rollins in late 2020, Becky made a triumphant return at SummerSlam 2021. She remained a major presence until mid-2024, when her WWE contract expired and she chose to step back from wrestling. That hiatus ended with her comeback at WrestleMania 41 last year — but now, it appears that run may be her last.
Speaking candidly, Lynch explained how constant pressure, criticism, and self-doubt have followed her throughout her career, even at the highest level. While she still loves wrestling and performing in front of fans, balancing motherhood with a demanding schedule has become increasingly difficult.

She admitted that leaving her daughter to travel for work brings a level of guilt that never truly goes away, describing how hard it was emotionally when she felt she didn’t have enough time at home. According to Lynch, the time away from WWE in 2024 brought unexpected peace—so much so that she considered never coming back.
That realization led her to a sobering conclusion: this may be her final run, and her current WWE deal could be the last contract she signs as an active wrestler.
Elsewhere in the episode, Becky also acknowledged feeling burnt out before stepping away last year, offering further insight into why she needed time off from the business.
While nothing has been officially announced, Lynch’s words strongly suggest that fans may be watching the final chapter of “The Man” inside a WWE ring—making every appearance from here on out feel that much more meaningful.
