Bella Twins Headed For Massive Title Showdown On WWE SmackDown
WWE Hall of Famers Brie and Nikki Bella are just days away from stepping into a high-stakes championship match that fans never thought they’d see.
The twin sisters made their intentions crystal clear when they returned at the Royal Rumble back in January, and now they’re finally getting their shot at gold.
This past Friday night in Phoenix, things got chaotic when the Bella Twins found themselves ringside watching Nia Jax and Lash Legend defend the Women’s Tag Team Championships against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. What started as simple spectating quickly turned into all-out mayhem.
When the action spilled outside the ring, Jax and Legend targeted the Bellas, who were watching from their hometown crowd. Brie Bella wasn’t about to let that slide and charged the ring, landing a punch on Jax that caused the match to end in disqualification.
Within seconds, all three teams were brawling inside the squared circle, with Jax and Legend ultimately standing tall over their fallen opponents.
Later that night, tensions remained high backstage. The Bellas confronted Flair and Bliss, making one thing perfectly clear: they’re coming for those titles. Brie made no apologies for getting involved, pointing out they were simply defending themselves after being attacked first.
The March 20th episode of SmackDown in Raleigh, North Carolina will now feature the Bella Twins challenging the Irresistible Forces for the Women’s Tag Team Championships. This marks the first time twin sisters have ever competed for these particular titles since they were introduced back in 2019.
Of course, Flair and Bliss probably won’t be too far away when that match goes down. After Friday’s explosive ending, it’s hard to imagine them missing this one.
The Bellas haven’t won a tag team match together since September 2018, but their Hall of Fame credentials speak for themselves. Now they’ve got a golden opportunity to add another historic achievement to their legendary careers.
