“I’m Constantly Starting Over”: WWE Star Bianca Belair Opens Up About Painful Recovery Nightmare
It has been nearly a year since fans saw Bianca Belair compete inside the squared circle, and unfortunately for “The EST of WWE,” the light at the end of the tunnel still seems dim.
Belair, who hasn’t wrestled since her critically acclaimed triple threat match at WrestleMania 41 against IYO Sky and Rhea Ripley, is giving her fans a raw and unfiltered look at the brutal reality of her injury recovery. While the match in Las Vegas cemented her status as one of the best in the business, it also sidelined her with a severe finger issue that required surgery as recently as February 2026.
Taking to social media, the former Women’s Champion shared a series of videos documenting her physical therapy sessions. The footage wasn’t the typical highlight reel of progress; instead, it showed a superstar in visible discomfort, flinching as she pushed through the pain to get her hand back in working order.

But the physical pain isn’t the only hurdle Belair is facing. In a candid update, she revealed the mental toll of a recovery that simply refuses to go smoothly. Sharing a photo of her finger tightly wrapped in bandages post-therapy, she explained the frustrating cycle she is trapped in.
“Most days after therapy this is what happens. My finger just stiffens back up,” she admitted, highlighting the setback that occurs just when she thinks she’s making headway.
The emotional weight of the situation was palpable in her words. “It feels like I’m constantly starting over and everything, it’s painful,” she confessed.
Despite the agony, Belair’s determination remains unshaken. She explained the grueling, around-the-clock commitment required to beat the odds. “Every hour I’m trying to move it so eventually it won’t be this way. Also, trying to keep scar tissue from forming again.”
While she has made select appearances for WWE—most notably as a special guest referee at Evolution 2025—the in-ring icon remains on the bench, protecting her hand from further damage. For now, her battle isn’t for a championship, but for the full mobility of her hand, one painful hour at a time.
