Omos Gets Emotional – Credits Bobby Lashley for Changing His WWE Career Forever
WWE’s Nigerian Giant Omos has opened up about the man who shaped his career in the ring — and it’s none other than Bobby Lashley.
During a candid chat with NarcolepsyBoy94, Omos didn’t hold back in praising The All Mighty, crediting him for having a “tremendous effect” on his journey as a performer. Fans will remember their heated feud back in 2022, which stretched on for nearly two years and became one of Omos’ most defining rivalries.
Omos recalled their WrestleMania 38 clash, saying it was the first time he had to stand on his own without AJ Styles by his side:
“I remember doing that WrestleMania because that was the first time it was like, ‘Okay, you’re on your own now, you don’t have Styles. Time to figure it out.’ It was just me in the ring with Bobby.”
The towering superstar continued with heartfelt words about Lashley:

“I have tremendous respect for Bobby Lashley and everything he’s done for me in my career. For almost two years, Bobby and I were in a feud. That time I spent with him, I cannot thank him enough. It had a tremendous effect on my career as an in-ring performer. Hopefully, if he comes back, we can run it back. But man, I love Bobby, man.”
Omos Talks About His Surprise AAA Debut
Aside from praising Lashley, Omos also spoke about his unexpected appearance at AAA TripleMania XXXIII, where he shocked the lucha world by winning the Copa Bardahl Cibernetico.
Interestingly, Omos revealed the whole thing came together at the last minute:
“It was just like, ‘Hey, want to go to Triple A?’ I didn’t even know it was a battle royal. They’re like, ‘You want in?’ I was like, ‘Sure. Mexico? Let’s go.’”
For Omos, the chance to wrestle in Mexico was more than just another match — it was an opportunity to travel and experience something new after years of being limited in his career and personal life.
With his respect for Lashley and his growing international presence, Omos looks ready to carve his own legacy in WWE and beyond.
