Braun Strowman Drops Bombshell on His Wrestling Future – Fans Didn’t See This Coming!
2025 has been a rollercoaster year for former WWE powerhouse Braun Strowman, and now he’s finally given fans a major clue about what’s next.
Strowman, who was shockingly released by WWE on May 2, just weeks after WrestleMania 41, hasn’t stepped back into the squared circle since. While his departure stunned many, those paying close attention noticed the signs – fewer TV appearances, and his absence from WrestleMania’s card was the biggest red flag that his WWE run was nearing its end.
But instead of lashing out at the company, the former World Champion took the high road. Strowman admitted it was the right time to move on, especially since nagging injuries had slowed him down. He explained that he wanted to focus on healing, enjoying life, and exploring passions outside the ring.
And now, he’s made it crystal clear where his future lies.

In a recent interview with Collider, Strowman revealed he’s leaning heavily into acting:
“I’m semi-retired from wrestling now, too, because I want to be an actor. That’s what gave me the opportunity to get to where I am in life.”
The Monster Among Men even shared how filming action scenes reminded him of wrestling, especially working with stunt extras who were also wrestlers.
For fans hoping to see him back in WWE anytime soon, this might be disappointing news — but for Strowman, it’s a brand-new chapter. The 40-year-old powerhouse is trading the roar of the WWE Universe for the bright lights of Hollywood.
One thing’s for sure: whether it’s in the ring or on the big screen, Braun Strowman knows how to make an impact.
