R-Truth Reveals the Real Reason Brock Lesnar Feels So Legit in WWE—And It’s Not Just His Size

Brock Lesnar has always felt different from every other WWE Superstar, and according to R-Truth, that’s no accident. Speaking in a recent interview with The Sun, the longtime WWE veteran opened up about working with “The Beast Incarnate” and explained why Lesnar’s aura remains untouchable even after years at the top. The answer, Truth says, comes down to one key principle: Brock Lesnar fiercely protects his character.

Lesnar and R-Truth have crossed paths on WWE television multiple times, usually ending with Truth on the receiving end of a brutal F-5. But behind the scenes, Truth says those moments taught him valuable lessons about longevity and authenticity in sports entertainment.

“It’s always good and fun working with Brock. Another GOAT, man,” Truth said. “I’ve always loved working with him. Contrary to what you see, what you see is what you get. He’s going to be himself when he’s out there.”

Truth emphasized that Lesnar never breaks character or waters himself down to fit a moment. Instead, he stays true to who he is — and that’s exactly why the character works.

“I learned from him as well,” Truth continued. “He protects his character and protects who he is. That’s almost like the real dude you see. What you see on TV is like the real guy. Yeah, he laughs, but he’s the Beast Incarnate.”

That authenticity, according to Truth, is what separates Lesnar from almost everyone else on the roster.

Rumors Swirl About Brock Lesnar’s WWE Future

While Lesnar’s on-screen presence remains as dominant as ever, questions continue to surface about how much longer he’ll compete. Recent rumors have suggested that Lesnar could retire later this year, possibly at SummerSlam.

Those reports were discussed on Story Time with Dutch Mantell, where the former WWE manager questioned why retirement would even be necessary under today’s lighter WWE schedule.

“I don’t know why he’s gotta retire,” Mantell said. “The schedule that WWE has now is nothing like it used to be. Literally nothing.”

Mantell went on to compare today’s part-time-friendly calendar to the grueling grind of past eras, when wrestlers worked multiple shows per day and traveled nonstop.

“We used to have double headers on Saturday, matinee and night shows, then Sunday matinees, then drive all night to Raw,” Mantell recalled. “They ran you like a dog.”

With WWE’s modern schedule being far less demanding, Mantell believes Lesnar could continue performing as long as he wants — especially given his limited appearances and protected presentation.

Whether retirement is truly on the horizon or not, one thing remains clear: Brock Lesnar’s commitment to protecting his character is a major reason he still feels like a once-in-a-generation star.
