Bully Ray Predicts Bryan Danielson’s WWE Return After Brie Bella’s Surprise Comeback
Brie Bella’s return to WWE may be much bigger than just another nostalgia pop. According to WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray, her comeback could be the first real sign that Bryan Danielson is destined to walk back through WWE’s doors.
It’s been nearly five years since Danielson last competed in WWE, but Bully Ray believes the ending to his career hasn’t been written yet—and that it will happen right alongside his wife.
Brie Bella made her unexpected return at the 2026 Royal Rumble, reuniting with Nikki Bella and immediately setting their sights on the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. While fans focused on the Bella Twins’ next move, Bully Ray was already thinking several steps ahead.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray suggested that Brie’s presence in WWE is a strong indicator of what’s coming next.
He questioned how long it would really take before Danielson followed her back, confidently stating that Bryan will eventually return to WWE to close out his career—and do it alongside Brie.
That idea carries extra weight given past reports claiming Danielson’s ongoing relationship with AEW had been a roadblock to Brie returning to WWE in the first place. Now that barrier appears to be gone.
Danielson joined AEW in September 2021 and quickly became one of the promotion’s top stars, even capturing the AEW World Championship. However, he hasn’t competed in over a year. While his in-ring future remains uncertain, he continues to work behind the scenes as a creative consultant and has contributed on commentary.
Whether or not Danielson wrestles again is still unknown, but Bully Ray’s comments have reignited speculation that WWE could be where Bryan Danielson’s legendary career ultimately comes full circle—with Brie Bella by his side.
