🔥 “They Just Killed His Aura!” – Bully Ray Explodes Over WWE’s GUNTHER Booking on RAW
WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray didn’t hold back after watching this week’s episode of WWE RAW, and his biggest issue? Adam Pearce dressing down GUNTHER on live TV.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray tore into the segment, claiming WWE completely undercut GUNTHER’s momentum just days after presenting him as an unstoppable monster who retired John Cena.
According to Ray, the problem wasn’t just what was said — it was how GUNTHER reacted.
Instead of looking like the most dangerous heel in WWE, GUNTHER was made to sit there, get yelled at by Pearce, and then be sent home like a scolded rookie. For Ray, that moment shattered the intimidating aura WWE had carefully built.

Bully Ray was especially fired up about Pearce shouting at GUNTHER and asserting authority over him. In his eyes, a monster heel should never be “emasculated” by a general manager — especially one the company just spent weeks making look invincible.
Ray argued that if WWE wanted the segment to work, it needed a violent payoff. In his ideal version, Pearce continues pushing GUNTHER until the former champion finally snaps — choking out Pearce and putting him out of action for months. That, Ray said, would’ve reinforced GUNTHER’s dominance instead of cooling him off instantly.
As it stands, Bully Ray believes RAW ended with the wrong image: a once-terrifying GUNTHER quietly walking away, rather than leaving destruction in his path.
And in wrestling, perception is everything — and according to Bully Ray, WWE got it completely wrong this time.
