“Totally Delulu and Proud”: Chelsea Green Reveals Why She’s Never Afraid to Speak Up in WWE

Chelsea Green isn’t waiting for permission—and that fearless mindset is paying off in a big way. Over the past year, Green has quietly turned herself into one of WWE’s most decorated and outspoken performers. From winning the WWE Women’s United States Championship twice to holding the AAA Mixed Tag Team Titles with Ethan Page, her rise hasn’t come from staying silent backstage. Instead, it’s come from confidently advocating for herself — and she has zero regrets about it.

In a recent conversation with Denise Salcedo, Green pulled back the curtain on why speaking up to WWE management, pitching creative ideas, or even asking for more money doesn’t intimidate her in the slightest.

From “Barely Winning Matches” to Multiple Championships

Looking back on her journey, Green admitted that even she’s shocked by how quickly things have turned around.

If someone had told her three years ago that she’d re-sign with WWE for five years and rack up four or five championship reigns, she wouldn’t have believed it. In her own words, she joked that she sometimes feels like she “hasn’t even won a match,” yet somehow keeps ending up as a champion — even holding two titles at once.

To Green, it still feels surreal. But it’s also proof that persistence and confidence can change everything.

Why Asking Triple H for Creative Isn’t Scary to Her

While many wrestlers admit they feel anxious about approaching WWE executives, Green sees it very differently.

She explained that the real scary part of her career already happened years ago — long before bright lights and television cameras. That fear came from grinding on the independent scene, wrestling in front of tiny crowds in rundown venues across Canada, barely making money, and having friends and family quietly judge her choices.

Standing in a dingy hall pretending to be a star when almost no one is watching? That was terrifying.

Walking up to Triple H to ask for creative input, a finish change, or a raise? That’s easy by comparison.

After everything she endured chasing her dream, advocating for herself in WWE feels like the reward — not the risk.

“Totally Delulu” Confidence — and Proud of It

Green credits much of her fearlessness to how she was raised. She says her parents never instilled fear or self-doubt in her — only action.

If she wanted more money, they told her to ask for it. If she wanted to try wrestling, drumming, or even lacrosse, their response was simple: stop talking and go do it.

That upbringing, mixed with what she jokingly calls a bit of “delusion,” created a mindset where fear simply doesn’t exist. She doesn’t second-guess whether she belongs in the room — she just assumes she does.

And in her view, that’s how it should be for everyone.

Chelsea Green’s Message to WWE Talent: Speak Up

Green’s story is a reminder that success in WWE isn’t just about what happens between the ropes. Confidence, self-belief, and the willingness to speak up can be just as powerful as any finishing move.

She’s living proof that being unapologetically yourself — even a little “delulu” — can turn dreams into championship reality.
