Chris Jericho Sparks WWE Return Buzz After Shocking Reunion With Kevin Owens
All Elite Wrestling icon Chris Jericho just poured gasoline on the WWE comeback rumors—by reuniting with none other than Kevin Owens.
The wrestling world exploded after a viral selfie surfaced of Jericho and Owens hanging out at a Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Dallas Stars NHL game in Florida. The former best friends-turned-rivals were all smiles, immediately sending social media into panic mode over what this could mean for Jericho’s future.

Fans didn’t hold back their excitement:
- “OMG! Is that what I think it means?”
- “They’re still friends even after the List of KO?”
- “Yeah he’s definitely coming back to WWE soon.”
Jericho and Owens shared one of WWE’s most memorable storylines during 2016-17, featuring the iconic “List of Jericho,” the emotional “Festival of Friendship,” and their showdown at WrestleMania 33 for the United States Championship. Owens ultimately betrayed Jericho, writing the final chapter of Jericho’s legendary WWE run before he jumped to AEW in 2019.
Since then, Jericho has made history as AEW’s inaugural world champion and continued his run with ROH, but whispers of a WWE return have only grown louder—especially with John Cena currently on his farewell tour.
Jericho reportedly signed a three-year contract with AEW in 2022, meaning his deal is nearing its end. And according to reports, WWE is ready to offer “several million dollars annually” to bring the Y2J legend home.
With Jericho’s last AEW appearance showing him storming off in frustration, and now this reunion in Tampa, fans are convinced something big is brewing.
Could 2025 be the year the Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla walks back through WWE’s doors?
The WWE universe may not have to wait long to find out.
