CM Punk Opens Up About His Biggest Career Dream — And It’s Pure Chicago Magic

CM Punk is living one of the most exciting chapters of his storied wrestling career. With a renewed attitude and a sharper focus than ever before, the Chicago legend has rediscovered the spark that made him a global phenomenon. This year, Punk finally stepped into the WrestleMania main event spotlight for the first time, sharing the stage with heavyweights Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins in Las Vegas—an achievement many fans had been waiting over a decade to see.

After his emotional WWE return, Punk made it clear that his mission was simple: become a world champion once again. He accomplished that goal at SummerSlam, dethroning the dominant Gunther in a match fans are still talking about. His reign was cut short thanks to Seth Rollins cashing in Money in the Bank, but Punk’s fire didn’t dim.

Teaming up with his wife AJ Lee at Wrestlepalooza, and capitalizing on Rollins’ unfortunate shoulder injury, Punk stormed his way back to the top. On November 1st at Saturday Night’s Main Event, he defeated Jey Uso and reclaimed the WWE World Heavyweight Championship—proving that resilience remains one of his greatest weapons.

Now, as Survivor Series 2025 approaches on November 29, Punk is set to be one of the marquee stars of the event. But beyond championships and main events, Punk revealed he’s chasing one dream above all.

CM Punk Wants to Wrestle at Wrigley Field

Speaking on the Mostly Sports podcast, the champ opened up about the one venue he wants to perform in more than any other:

“Wrigley Field. Just wrestle at Wrigley Field. I’m putting that out in the universe right now.”

Punk said WWE executives are eager to make it happen, but Major League Baseball’s scheduling restrictions make planning nearly impossible.

“They won’t release their schedule early enough for us to lock in dates. Yes, Wrigley hosts concerts in the summer, but we need a proper head start.”

In classic CM Punk fashion, he even joked about rooting for the Dodgers to win the World Series just to help push baseball closer to its rumored 2027 lockout.

“I’m 100% selfish. If there’s no baseball in 2027, that means I’m selling out Wrigley Field.”

Whether it happens or not, one thing’s certain: CM Punk has never been more motivated, more appreciated, or more determined to create moments that wrestling fans will never forget.
