Most fans remember Dominik’s first appearance back in 2005 during the heated rivalry between Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero. But it wasn’t until 2020 that he officially stepped inside the ring, battling Seth Rollins in a brutal street fight. Before that match, Dominik had been grinding—training at the WWE Performance Center, learning under legends like Lance Storm and Jay Lethal.

But behind the scenes, he wasn’t sure wrestling was the path he truly wanted.

Dominik spoke candidly about that tough period:

“I was around 260 pounds and completely lost. I told my girlfriend—who’s now my wife—about an opportunity to train in Tampa for six months. But I didn’t want to leave. I remember just breaking down, crying… and she looked at me and said, ‘You have to go. You need to do this.’”

That one push changed his future forever.

Today, Dominik proudly calls himself “the greatest Mysterio of all time.” And in 2024, he married the woman who believed in him when he didn’t believe in himself.
