Cody Rhodes has been on a rollercoaster ride since his WWE return at WrestleMania 38.
He ended Roman Reigns’ legendary reign at WrestleMania 40, shockingly dropped the title to a heel John Cena at WrestleMania 41, and then redeemed himself by dethroning a babyface Cena at SummerSlam. From Roman to Owens to Cena, Rhodes has fought them all — and now, fans are craving fresh rivalries.
And WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash has just thrown a blockbuster idea into the mix.
Kevin Nash Wants Cody Rhodes vs. Finn Balor… But With a Twist
Speaking on Kliq, Nash revealed he doesn’t just want Rhodes to face Finn Balor — he specifically wants “The Demon” Balor back for the battle.
“I haven’t seen Balor wrestle Cody in a while. I’d like to watch that. Finn, Cody, I would like to see that match … but I want to see him as the demon.” [h/t Wrestling Inc]
For long-time WWE fans, that suggestion hits hard. The last time Balor unleashed “The Demon” was at Extreme Rules 2021 in his high-stakes clash with Roman Reigns. Though he didn’t walk out with the Universal Championship, the mystique of “The Demon” remains unmatched.
