Fans Boo Gunther Off The Stage After Disgusting Stunt On WWE RAW
It looks like Gunther is leaning all the way into his new “Career Killer” persona, and WWE fans are absolutely furious with him.
During the latest episode of WWE RAW, The Ring General decided to pour salt in the wound of the AJ Styles retirement situation. He walked out to “The Phenomenal One’s” iconic theme song, tricking the audience into thinking they might see Styles one last time.
For a brief second, the arena lit up with excitement—until the music cut and switched to Gunther’s. The betrayal was instant. The crowd erupted in a chorus of boos so loud that Gunther could barely get a word in. Fans didn’t just stop at booing, either; a very clear “f*ck you, Gunther!” chant took over the arena before he even opened his mouth.
When he finally got the chance to speak, he gloated about “retiring yet another legend,” seemingly taking pride in ending Styles’ in-ring career.
But karma came knocking pretty quickly.
Dragon Lee, who recently teamed with AJ Styles, had heard enough. He stormed the ring and went straight for Gunther, landing some impressive offense. Lee managed to take the former World Heavyweight Champion down and even tossed him out of the ring. It looked like the crowd was about to get the catharsis they were hoping for.
That feeling didn’t last long.
As Dragon Lee pressed the attack, Gunther fought back with a cheap shot, grabbing the ring announcer’s bell and leveling Lee with it. From there, things turned ugly. Gunther locked Lee in a brutal chokehold, dragged him onto the ring apron, and choked him while he was tangled in the ropes. Referees and officials had to rush down to check on Lee, who was left lying on the mat long after the attack ended.
With this new vicious edge, it looks like Gunther is sending a clear warning to the entire locker room: come for him, and you’ll end up just like AJ Styles.
