Hulk Hogan’s Blood-Stained WrestleMania 1 Boots Hit Auction—And the Price Is Shocking

More than four decades after helping launch WrestleMania into a global phenomenon, a legendary piece of Hulk Hogan history is now up for grabs.

A pair of Hulk Hogan’s match-worn, autographed yellow boots—worn during the very first WrestleMania in 1985—has been listed for auction by Heritage Auctions, instantly turning heads across the wrestling world. As of now, bidding has already surged past $105,000, a figure that reflects both Hogan’s towering legacy and the historic significance of the item.

The boots come from WrestleMania 1, where Hogan teamed with Mr. T to defeat “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff in the main event that helped legitimize WWE on a national stage. According to the auction listing, the boots have been professionally photo-matched to footage from that night, offering ironclad proof of their authenticity.

Adding to their mystique, Hogan personally signed the boots in silver ink with a message that reads, “These are my real boots with my real blood on them from MSG.” The inscription alone has made the item one of the most talked-about wrestling collectibles to ever hit the auction market.

The auction description emphasizes how iconic the boots are to Hogan’s image, noting that the bright yellow footwear became inseparable from his red-and-yellow color scheme—a look that defined an era and helped turn “Hulkamania” into a pop-culture movement during the 1980s.

“These boots aren’t just ring gear,” the listing states. “They’re symbols of a cultural shift that helped push professional wrestling into the mainstream and shape what WWE would become.”

Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, passed away in July 2025 at the age of 71. He was laid to rest in August in Largo, Florida, with a who’s who of wrestling royalty in attendance. WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, Kevin Nash, Eric Bischoff, Ted DiBiase, Adam “Edge” Copeland, Tito Santana, and former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon were among those who paid their respects, with McMahon delivering a eulogy.

Now, as fans and collectors reflect on Hogan’s unmatched impact, these WrestleMania 1 boots stand as a tangible reminder of the night that helped change wrestling history forever.
