John Cena’s Last WWE Match Revealed – Final Showdown Set for Saturday Night’s Main Event!

WWE legend John Cena is officially lacing up his boots one last time — and fans are in for an unforgettable farewell.

After a year-long goodbye tour that saw him tear it up at WrestleMania 41, SummerSlam, and even WWE’s Clash in Paris, the 17-time World Champion will close the curtain on his legendary in-ring career this December. WWE confirmed that Cena’s final match will headline Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

The opponent? Still a mystery. But the stakes? Historic. The event will stream exclusively on Peacock.

Triple H himself paid tribute, saying:

“John’s contributions to WWE are immeasurable. We look forward to honoring his legacy and delivering an unforgettable send-off for the WWE Universe.”

Cena stunned fans last summer when he announced his retirement during a surprise appearance at Money in the Bank in Toronto. Since then, he’s gone all out to give his loyal fanbase one more year of magic, showing up on Raw, SmackDown, and everywhere in between.

“Thank you for letting me play in the house you built,” Cena told fans during that emotional retirement announcement. “We are planning something unforgettable.”

Signed by WWE in 2001, Cena became one of the most decorated stars in company history before shifting to Hollywood, starring in The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, and more. Still, for millions around the globe, he’ll always be the face that runs the place.

Now, WWE promises a final match worthy of his two-decade reign as one of the most beloved superstars ever.

Washington, D.C. officials are equally hyped:

  • “The perfect place to honor John Cena’s remarkable legacy,” said Angie M. Gates, President of Events DC.
  • “No stage more fitting,” added Jordan Silberman of Monumental Sports & Entertainment.

The countdown is on. December 13 will mark the last time fans hear the roar of “You can’t see me” inside a WWE ring.
