John Cena Caught Breaking Character After The WWE Elimination Chamber during Viral Picture Event
While it might seem that John Cena embraced his heel persona with the utmost conviction inside the WWE ring, it seems he is still a darling out of it. Recently there has been a video of Cena surfaced that takes him out of context during the explosive moments of Elimination Chamber.
Cena’s Shocking Heel Turn at Elimination Chamber
Over this past week, the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event was set up during Cena’s retirement tour. In this event John Cena, having been dubbed the 16-time world champion, faced CM Punk in the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match. Cena came out as the victor after subduing Punk with his STF submission and forcing him to pass out, earning him the main event for WrestleMania 41
But the jaw dropping moment was yet to come for WWE fans after what happened afterward. After Cody Rhodes’s denial of The Rock’s offer, Cena stunned everybody with his heel turn, partnering himself with The Final Boss. Cena along with The Rock and Travis Scott, the rapper, completely decimated Rhodes, who was left bloodied and beaten in the ring.
Cena Disappears After The Event – Then Resurfaces in Morocco
Instead of heading to the post press conference after the show, Cena walked out and in a dramatic fashion, leaving behind a mic and disappearing from sight.
The Rock later disclosed that Cena had flown to Africa for filming.
Earlier today, the wrestling legend, however, was captured on camera in Morocco, where he was interacting with fans and taking a break from the character he plays on screen. Take a look at the picture below:
Next On The Agenda For Cody Rhodes: Preparing for WrestleMania 41. Rhodes is also scheduled to take the mic on SmackDown this week, where he will deal with the consequences from the Elimination Chamber. It’s been said that during the violent beatdown, Rhodes actually got injured – but not by Cena. He got hurt by Travis Scott. According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer, the rapper was throwing punches at Rhodes and gave him a stiff dose of reality which resulted in a busted eardrum and black eye.
With WrestleMania 41 getting closer and closer, The American Nightmare, for better or worse, is more and more alone these days and has more powerful foes than ever. Will Randy Orton come to the aid of Rhodes so that they can deal with the Cena and The Rock together? We will see.
