Logan Paul Fires Back at Fans Blaming Him for Je’Von Evans’ Nasty Fall at Elimination Chamber
The social media megastar isn’t taking responsibility for the scary moment that had the WWE Universe holding its breath.
The WWE Elimination Chamber delivered plenty of high-impact moments Saturday night, but one particular spot has become the talk of the wrestling world for all the wrong reasons.
When Logan Paul eliminated rising star Je’Von Evans with his signature Paulverizer maneuver, the internet immediately erupted with concern. Video clips showed the young Evans landing awkwardly on his head and neck, leading many fans to accuse Paul of botching the move and endangering his opponent.
But now Paul is breaking his silence on the controversy, and he’s placing the blame squarely on Evans’ shoulders.
“He Didn’t Flip Right”
During the latest episode of his IMPAULSIVE podcast, Paul didn’t hold back when addressing the backlash. While he initially praised the 20-year-old talent, he quickly pivoted to explaining what he believes really happened inside the Chamber.
“Je’Von Evans, new kid, up-and-comer. I’m the first one to support the kid,” Paul said. “I’ve been saying for years that Je’Von Evans is the future.”
Then came the part that’s already sparking more debate among wrestling fans.
“The kid is one of the best flippers in the WWE, but all of a sudden, when it comes time to flip with me, he can’t do it. He can’t flip.”
When pressed about what exactly went wrong with the spot, Paul kept it simple: “Nothing happened, bro. He got Paulverized, he got pinned. He’s fine. Put some ice on the neck. Do a better flip next time and get going.”
For what it’s worth, reports from behind the scenes at the event confirmed that Evans walked away from the match without injury despite how brutal the landing looked in real time.

Defending LA Knight While Throwing Shade?
In a bit of ironic timing, Paul actually spent part of the same podcast defending another wrestler who had a rough night at Elimination Chamber.
LA Knight’s embarrassing slip off the top rope during the Chamber match had fans laughing and cringing in equal measure. But rather than pile on, Paul came to his defense with a surprisingly technical explanation.
“That particular botch that LA Knight had is not his fault,” Paul insisted. “I was in the ring watching it go down live. The ropes are so slippery and oily, you have no idea. By the time it’s 10 pm and you’re the last match of the night, all these sweaty wrestlers have been greasing those ropes up for hours.”
Paul even threw in a self-deprecating joke about his own PRIME logo being the first one placed on WWE mats, making them slippery for everyone who follows.
The contrast between defending Knight’s slip and criticizing Evans’ flip isn’t lost on fans who’ve been following this story.
What’s Next for The Maverick?
With WrestleMania 42 now on the horizon, Paul finds himself in an interesting position. Both Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed are currently sidelined with injuries, potentially opening the door for Paul to step into a high-profile match against Seth Rollins in Las Vegas.
For a guy who just spent the week defending himself against botch accusations, landing another WrestleMania moment wouldn’t be the worst consolation prize.
Whether fans agree with Paul’s version of events or not, one thing is certain—the conversation around that Paulverizer isn’t going away anytime soon. And with Paul’s history of leaning into controversy, don’t expect him to back down from this one either.
