Former WWE Star Finally Ready To End 16-Year Feud With Randy Orton
A long-standing grudge in the wrestling world might finally be coming to an end.
Former WWE star Mr. Kennedy has revealed that heโs ready to let go of the tension thatโs existed between him and Randy Orton for over 16 years. While Orton is now one of WWEโs most respected veterans and a guaranteed future Hall of Famer, his backstage reputation wasnโt always the best.
Fans still remember the infamous moment when Orton snapped at Kofi Kingston during a match, yelling โstupid, stupid, stupidโ on live TV. And of course, thereโs the well-known story that both Orton and John Cena encouraged WWE management to release Mr. Kennedy after a series of in-ring mishaps led to injuries. The decision ultimately cost Kennedy his WWE career at the time.
Mr. Kennedy Says Heโs Ready To Move On
Speaking to Championship Sports Blog, Kennedy opened up about the long-running resentment he once held toward Cena and Orton. But with time, he realized that carrying that bitterness only hurt himโnot them:

โThere were years where I hated those guys. But then I realized me hating them doesnโt do anything. They donโt care. The only person it hurts is me. They say hating someone is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.โ
Kennedy also revealed that he briefly spoke with Orton in 2020 when he made a backstage visit to a WWE show. The two had a friendly 45-minute conversation, but they didnโt touch on the past.
Now, Kennedy says heโd like to finally sit down with Orton and clear the air once and for all.
โIโd like to sit down with him at some point and just clear the air.โ
After 16 years of silence, the former WWE star seems ready to close the chapterโand maybe even rebuild a bridge once burned.
