Roman Reigns’ Cousin, Zilla Fatu, Not Eyeing WWE Move Anytime Soon

The Anoa’i family has produced some of WWE’s most dominant superstars, but one rising star isn’t rushing to join the company just yet.

Zilla Fatu, the son of the late Umaga and cousin of Roman Reigns, has been making a name for himself in the independent wrestling scene, particularly in Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling promotion. While fans have speculated about a potential WWE debut, the 25-year-old has made it clear that he’s focused on carving his own path before considering a move to the big leagues.

Previously, Zilla hinted at his aspirations by claiming that the Ula Fala—symbolic of The Bloodline’s leadership—was his birthright. However, in a recent interview with Kyle Albertson and Wave Chapelle on The Show (Riverwest Radio), he set the record straight.

“My long-term goal? Definitely collecting more gold,” Fatu said. “I’m in no rush to sign anywhere. Right now, I’m just trying to figure out who I am and separate myself from my family’s legacy. Five years from now, I want my name to stand on its own. By then, my accomplishments will speak for themselves.” (From 2:59 to 3:27)

What’s Next for Roman Reigns?

Meanwhile, Roman Reigns’ absence from WWE programming has left fans questioning his status for WrestleMania 41. Many expected The Tribal Chief to interfere in the Elimination Chamber match, potentially targeting Seth Rollins. However, Reigns was nowhere to be seen.

Reports suggest WWE is planning a blockbuster Triple Threat match featuring Reigns, Rollins, and CM Punk at The Show of Shows. While he is currently advertised to return during WWE’s European tour later this month, it remains to be seen if those WrestleMania plans come to fruition.
