Roman Reigns Written Off WWE TV After Clash in Paris—Here’s Why Fans Won’t See Him for Weeks!
Roman Reigns shocked the WWE Universe at Clash in Paris 2025—and now fresh backstage news has revealed why the “Tribal Chief” will be missing from our screens in the weeks ahead.
The night started with fireworks as Reigns squared off against “Big” Bronson Reed in a grueling opening match. After weeks of bad blood on Monday Night Raw, Reigns finally silenced Reed, picking up a hard-fought victory. He even reclaimed the mysterious “Shoo-la Fala” from his former Wiseman, Paul Heyman.
But the celebration didn’t last long. Moments later, The Vision’s Reed and Bron Breakker launched a brutal two-on-one assault. Two Spears and three thunderous Tsunamis later, Reigns was left broken in the ring and stretchered out—leaving fans stunned and fearing the worst.

Now, the truth is out. According to wrestling insider Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Reigns’ exit was all part of an “injury angle” designed to cover his absence while he films his next big Hollywood role.
Yes, you read that right — the Tribal Chief is trading the squared circle for the big screen, stepping into the legendary role of Akuma in the upcoming Street Fighter movie.
Meltzer revealed:
“Roman Reigns is filming Street Fighter, so it’s an injury storyline until he’s done filming, which should wrap up about a week after the next pay-per-view. He’s expected off TV for around four weeks.”
That means fans will have to wait until late September to see Reigns back in WWE action. Until then, the company will roll on without its biggest star — but when the Tribal Chief finally returns, expect fireworks.
