Seth Rollins Drops Major Update on WWE Comeback as WrestleMania Hopes Come Into Focus
Seth Rollins’ road back to WWE is starting to look clearer, and his latest comments have given fans fresh reason to believe a return may not be too far away.
The former World Heavyweight Champion has been out of action since suffering a torn rotator cuff during his title match at Crown Jewel in October. The injury forced Rollins to miss a crucial stretch of WWE programming, sparking constant speculation about when — or where — he might reappear.
In a recent interview, Rollins opened up about his recovery and admitted he’s pushing hard behind the scenes to get back as soon as it’s safely possible. While no official return date has been set, he revealed that he’s now in a more promising phase of rehab and feeling increasingly optimistic.
Rollins explained that he’s currently within the standard four-to-six month recovery window for shoulder surgery, which places him right on the edge of potential medical clearance. That timing has naturally put WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas firmly on his radar. He didn’t hide the fact that he wants to be part of the event, but emphasized that the final decision rests entirely with WWE’s medical staff.
For now, his focus remains on rebuilding strength, stability, and full range of motion — the key factors that will determine whether he can handle the physical demands of returning to live competition.

Seth Rollins remains cautious despite progress
Rollins also reflected on the early stages of his recovery, describing them as the most challenging. He spent weeks in a restrictive brace that made everyday activities uncomfortable and disrupted his sleep, testing his patience both mentally and physically.
Since removing the brace, however, his rehab has accelerated. Rollins says his mobility has improved significantly, and he’s now deep into the strength-building phase that will ultimately decide if his shoulder is ring-ready.
While fans continue to speculate about a surprise appearance at the Royal Rumble, Rollins made it clear he won’t rush back for the sake of a big moment. He stressed that he won’t step into a WWE ring until he’s fully cleared and confident he can perform without hesitation.
The anticipation around his return continues to grow — and with WrestleMania season approaching, all eyes remain on Seth Rollins as his comeback journey reaches a critical stage.
