Seth Rollins Fires Shots After CM Punk Lands WWE 2K26 Cover Spot
WWE 2K26 hasn’t even hit shelves yet, but it’s already stirring controversy—and Seth Rollins is right at the center of it. During a recent conversation with Gaming Bible, Rollins was asked about CM Punk being revealed as the cover star for WWE 2K26, a decision that instantly raised eyebrows across the wrestling world. The game is scheduled to release on March 13, with Punk front and center as its marquee face.
For CM Punk, the honor marks a notable milestone. WWE 2K26 will be his first cover appearance since WWE ’13, which released before the franchise transitioned fully under the 2K banner. But while many fans welcomed the announcement, Rollins made it clear he was not among them.

Given the long-standing and very public tension between the two stars, Rollins didn’t sugarcoat his feelings. The reigning World Heavyweight Champion questioned Punk’s suitability as a representative of WWE, though he acknowledged the decision was out of his hands.
“I never feel like CM Punk is the right choice to be the representative of anything that has to do with this business and this company,” Rollins said. “But it’s not my decision. It’s not my sandbox, and these aren’t my toys.”
Rollins went on to add a sharp final remark, suggesting that if WWE believes Punk can move copies of the game, they should proceed — even if he personally disagrees.
With WWE 2K26’s release approaching and tensions between Rollins and Punk still simmering, Rollins’ comments have only added fuel to an already heated rivalry that shows no signs of cooling down.
