“Seth Rollins Is a Whiny Little B****”: Ex-WWE Writer Vince Russo Explodes in Wild Rant, But Has Surprising Praise for JBL

Vince Russo is never one to hold back, and his latest comments are sending shockwaves through the wrestling world. The controversial former WWE head writer, now making waves in Juggalo Championship Wrestling (JCW), has unloaded on a current top star while simultaneously clearing the air about his relationship with a WWE legend.

For weeks, rumors have swirled that John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL) might be heading to JCW. While that move hasn’t materialized yet, it sparked conversation about the dynamic between JBL and Russo, who currently serves as a writer, booker, and on-screen investor for the promotion.

Sitting down with the Two Man Power Trip podcast, Russo was asked about the speculated heat between him and the Hall of Famer. His answer was not what many expected.

“There’s no heat from my side at all,” Russo stated definitively. “If there’s real heat, it’s coming from him. I have absolutely nothing to be upset with him about.”

Russo went on to address the long-standing stories about JBL being a bully backstage—a reputation that has followed the Texas native for years.

“People ask me about him being a bully all the time. And I always tell them the same thing: I never saw it. He never bullied me, and I never once saw him bully anybody else. He’s said some pretty mean-spirited things about me over the years, but I’ve never fired back. The only thing I’ve ever credited him with was giving me the idea for the Brawl For All.”

While Russo extended an olive branch to JBL, he had the exact opposite reaction for a current WWE World Champion.

On his The Brand podcast, Russo went scorched earth on Seth Rollins, who is currently off WWE television. The veteran writer didn’t just critique his work; he went after his character.

“Bro, let me tell you something, Seth, you little whiny b**, you can go on every talk show you want and call me an a. You know why? Because you don’t want to hear the truth. You’re a whining, crying b.”

Russo then pivoted to a detailed critique of Rollins’ wife, Becky Lynch, focusing on her character work.

“Let me tell you what Becky’s problem is. She’s supposed to be a heel. A dominant heel. But every single time a microphone is in her hand, she’s trying to be over-the-top funny. From the way she dresses to putting her dukes up to making funny faces—she’s trying to be a comedian. And if Bruce Prichard or Triple H can’t tell her that, they’re failing her.”

He compared her approach unfavorably to legends of the past to drive his point home.

“Was Scott Hall funny in the know? Absolutely. Was Kevin Nash funny? Yes. Here’s the massive difference: they weren’t trying to be funny. They were just cool. That was their essence. Becky is working so hard to get a laugh that she forgets her job is to make people want to boo her. You have a role as a heel, and that role is not to try to be a stand-up comic.”
