Seth Rollins Drops Honest Truth Bomb On WWE Stars Complaining About Influencers

It’s a debate that has divided the WWE locker room for years: should social media stars and influencers be given valuable airtime and spots on major pay-per-views?

While some wrestlers grind for decades to earn a moment in the sun, top champion Seth Rollins has a brutally honest message for anyone feeling bitter about Logan Paul or IShowSpeed stealing the spotlight: get over it.

During a recent appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast, “The Visionary” didn’t hold back when explaining exactly why WWE keeps inviting internet celebrities to the ring. And frankly, his logic is hard to argue with.

Rollins admitted that he understands the frustration young talents feel watching outsiders waltz into the industry, but he quickly shut down the entitlement that often comes with it.

“Yeah, I’m fine with it,” Rollins stated. He explained that while it’s easy to feel like they are “taking somebody’s spot,” the reality is much harsher. “I would say this to my younger self, too. That was never your spot. You weren’t going to have the same impact.”

According to Rollins, the math is simple. These celebrities bring massive audiences that would never otherwise tune into Monday Night Raw. “The reason we are able to bring these influencers or actors or whomever into the fray is to get new eyes on the product,” he said. “And then those new eyes… they can find you. Otherwise they ain’t going to find you.”

The Logan Paul Exception

Of course, no conversation about influencers in wrestling is complete without mentioning the reigning United States Champion, Logan Paul. While many wrote him off as a flashy gimmick, Rollins revealed that Paul is the exception to the rule because he actually fell in love with the grind.

Rollins theorized that Paul initially viewed wrestling as just another money-making venture—a fun, “fight-adjacent” hobby. But something clicked.

“I think he got addicted to it,” Rollins revealed. “I think he got addicted to the process. And when you get hooked that way, it’s really hard to let it go.”

However, Rollins was quick to point out that for every Logan Paul who sticks around, there are ten others who realize the sport isn’t for them. He pointed to streamer IShowSpeed’s brief foray in the Royal Rumble, where he was swiftly demolished by Bron Breakker.

“And then he don’t want to come back and he’s like, ‘I’m good,’” Rollins laughed.

The bottom line from the WWE star? If you’re a wrestler worried about losing your spot to a YouTuber, you were probably looking at the wrong spot to begin with.
