Seth Rollins Just Admitted What His WrestleMania 42 Match Against Gunther Really Means to Him
Seth Rollins wasn’t sure he would even make it to WrestleMania 42. A serious shoulder injury last fall forced him to give up his world title and go through surgery. The recovery was long, painful, and left his biggest night of the year hanging in the balance.
But he pushed through. With help from WWE and his family, Rollins got himself back into shape just in time for Las Vegas. Even then, WWE didn’t have much time to build a real story around his return.
Now, he’s set to face Gunther—one of the most dominant stars in the company. Gunther has already taken down legends, including ending John Cena’s in-ring career.
The big question is what kind of Seth Rollins will show up after such a long absence.

During a recent interview on The Rich Eisen Show, Rollins opened up about how close he came to missing the event and what this match really means to him.
He admitted that the moment he got hurt back in October, his first thought was getting back in time for WrestleMania. He said he has been in this situation too many times before, getting injured and risking missing the biggest show of the year.
Rollins revealed he has only missed one WrestleMania in his entire career, and called it one of his lowest moments.
That is why being back this time feels different. He is not just showing up for a quick run-in or a cameo. He gets to step into the ring and have a real contest against one of the best in the world, Gunther.
For Rollins, this is more than just another match. It is personal.
