The Undertaker Finally Breaks Silence on WWE’s Shocking Decision to End His WrestleMania Streak

WWE fans will never forget the jaw-dropping moment at WrestleMania 30 when Brock Lesnar did the unthinkable—ending The Undertaker’s legendary undefeated streak. For years, many wondered why the most iconic streak in wrestling history came to such an abrupt end. Now, The Deadman himself has given a brutally honest take.

On his podcast Six Feet Under, The Undertaker pulled back the curtain on the controversial call.

“It Wasn’t My Decision”

Taker admitted that while fans wanted the streak to live forever, the choice wasn’t his:

“21-0 may have lasted forever, and it would’ve been an incredible piece of wrestling history. But it wasn’t my decision. People always ask me, ‘Why did you do it?’ Well, it wasn’t really about what I wanted. Sure, I could’ve said no, but then what? Me and Brock shooting at WrestleMania? That wouldn’t have ended well.”

The Business Side of Wrestling

The Undertaker also emphasized that pro wrestling isn’t just about moments—it’s also about business decisions.

“You have to look at this business differently. There were plenty of people who didn’t want to put me over to get me into that position, but they did. In the end, it’s just the way the business works. It wasn’t my call, but I had to play the hand I was dealt.”

While many still debate whether Brock Lesnar was the right man to break the streak, The Undertaker makes it clear: he didn’t choose it—but as always, he did what was best for the business.
