“Stop the Hate: WWE Legends Defend Triple H After Body-Shaming Backlash”
WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H, has found himself at the center of online criticism after vacation photos with Stephanie McMahon in Greece went viral. Many fans took shots at The Game’s current physique, comparing it to his legendary days inside the ring.
But according to respected veteran journalist Bill Apter, the backlash is completely unfair.
Speaking on The Wrestling Time Machine podcast with Mac Davis, Apter made it clear that people need to cut Triple H some slack.
“He’s not competing anymore, and I’m sure he still takes care of himself,” Apter explained. “Back in our day, wrestlers were always on the road eating at places like White Castle or Krystal Burger. It wasn’t easy then, and it’s definitely not easy now when you’re running the whole show.”

WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long also stepped in to back Triple H, pointing out just how demanding his role as WWE’s CCO really is.
“Look, if you’re in Triple H’s position, that’s a lot of work,” Long said. “He doesn’t have the time to train like he used to. Sometimes you don’t eat right, sometimes you grab whatever you can find. That’s just life when you’re that busy. It happens.”
Both legends agreed that running WWE leaves little time for the gym, and the criticism overlooks the massive responsibility Triple H carries behind the scenes.
Whether Triple H himself will address the body-shaming remains to be seen, but one thing is clear—WWE legends aren’t staying silent when it comes to defending The King of Kings.
