WWE Hall of Famer Breaks Silence on Vince McMahon Racism Claims—Here’s What He Really Said

A WWE Hall of Famer has finally addressed the growing speculation surrounding Vince McMahon and allegations of racism inside WWE — and his answer may surprise fans.

D-Von Dudley, one half of the legendary Dudley Boyz, recently made headlines after speaking openly about racist remarks he faced during his time in WWE. His comments sparked intense debate among fans, especially after he accused longtime WWE commentator Jim Ross of making racist remarks while intoxicated — an allegation Ross strongly denied on his Grilling JR podcast.

As the controversy grew, many fans began questioning whether D-Von was also referring to top WWE executives when he discussed racism backstage. Names like Vince McMahon, Triple H, Michael Hayes, and John Laurinaitis quickly entered the conversation.

Now, D-Von has moved to clear the air.

In a new video on his YouTube channel featuring former WWE star Maven Huffman, the WWE Hall of Famer directly addressed the speculation — and firmly shut it down. According to D-Von, Vince McMahon was never racist toward him at any point in his career.

D-Von explained that he never had a single race-related issue with McMahon and pushed back against the long-standing narrative that WWE’s booking decisions are rooted in racism. He suggested that many such accusations come from frustrated fans whose favorite wrestlers are not being pushed the way they want.

D-Von went on to say that, based on his experience working behind the scenes, success in WWE had nothing to do with race and everything to do with whether a performer connected with the audience and “got over.”

The clarification puts an important spotlight on the ongoing discussion about WWE’s past—while making it clear that, in D-Von Dudley’s case, Vince McMahon was not part of the problem.
