“Fans Demand Vince McMahon Be Ringside for John Cena’s Emotional Final WWE Match”

John Cena’s legendary WWE career is in its final chapter—just 11 matches remain before the 16-time World Champion hangs up his boots for good. At 48, Cena is balancing his farewell run in the ring with his booming Hollywood career, but his last appearance is shaping up to be one of the most emotional moments in wrestling history.

It all began back in 2002 under Vince McMahon’s watch. Cena almost lost his job early on, struggling to make an impact—until a chance moment on a tour bus changed everything. Stephanie McMahon overheard him freestyling and rushed to show her father. That’s when the “Doctor of Thuganomics” was born, kickstarting a career that made Cena the face of WWE for over a decade.

Now, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray says it’s only fitting for Vince McMahon to be there in person when Cena wrestles for the last time. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Ray said:

“Cena’s last match will be in Boston. It’s going to be emotional—tears of joy and sadness. Vince is the man who gave John his shot. If Vince came out to send him off, the crowd would embrace it. Cena was the face of Vince’s WWE for years.”

McMahon, who stepped down as chairman in 2022, has made only rare public appearances since, most recently on TMZ for their Hulk Hogan documentary. But his friendship with Cena has endured through it all.

Cena’s Final Battles

Before that last Boston showdown, Cena’s got some huge matches left. On August 31, he faces Logan Paul at WWE Clash in Paris following a heated SmackDown confrontation. Rumors are also swirling about one last showdown with Brock Lesnar, as SummerSlam teased a rekindling of their iconic rivalry.

The Paris event at La Défense Arena will also feature a blockbuster World Heavyweight Championship match with LA Knight, CM Punk, Jey Uso, and Seth Rollins—plus an appearance by Roman Reigns, though no match has been confirmed.

One thing’s for sure: if Vince McMahon walks down that ramp to embrace Cena one last time, it could be one of the most unforgettable moments in WWE history.
