WWE Pulls Shocking Move Against AEW—Huge Name, ESPN Deal & Dream Match Revealed for New PPV!

The wrestling world is about to get wild. WWE isn’t just planning another premium live event this fall—they’re dropping a bomb right on AEW’s turf.

According to fresh reports, WWE is set to run a major show on September 20 in Indianapolis, the exact same night as AEW All Out. And the main event being discussed? None other than a blockbuster clash between John Cena and Brock Lesnar. Yes, you read that right—Cena vs. Lesnar could headline WWE’s answer to AEW’s biggest event of the year.

The rumored name for this WWE supercard is “Wrestlepalooza,” a title with deep roots in wrestling history. Originally an ECW staple back in the ’90s, Wrestlepalooza has lived on thanks to Minnesota’s F1rst Wrestling, who have run 25 events under the banner since 2013. While WWE doesn’t currently own the trademark, it looks like some sort of deal may have been reached behind the scenes.

But that’s not the only twist. Reports suggest this PPV could also air on ESPN, serving as the ultimate teaser for WWE’s massive broadcast partnership with the sports giant set to kick off in April 2026.

If true, fans won’t just be getting an epic Cena vs. Lesnar showdown—they’ll be witnessing the start of WWE’s boldest counter-programming play against AEW to date. Expect the official announcement from WWE this week.
