Former WWE Champion Just Sent Jon Moxley a Bone-Chilling Warning Before Tonight’s Big Fight
Let’s be real. When Jon Moxley looks across the ring, he’s used to seeing fear. But tonight at AEW Double or Nothing? He might be looking at something else entirely: a man who claims to have found the cracks in his armor.
Moxley has been on a terrifying roll. Ever since winning the AEW Continental Title at Worlds End 2025, he has chewed up and spit out every single challenger. The man they call the Purveyor of Violence isn’t just holding gold—he’s hoarding it while leaving a trail of broken bodies behind.
But there is a problem waiting for him tonight in Las Vegas. His name is Kyle O’Reilly.
Yes, that Kyle O’Reilly. The former three-time WWE NXT Tag Team Champion. And unlike most of Moxley’s victims, O’Reilly isn’t intimidated. In fact, he has Moxley’s number. He has already submitted the champion twice—once at Full Gear 2025 and again at Blood and Guts.
Their last showdown on Dynamite+Collision ended in a time-limit draw. That brings us to tonight. The title is on the line. And just hours before the bell, O’Reilly dropped a message on Instagram that sent chills through the wrestling world.

He wrote: “I’ve been labeled a dragon that must be slayed by Mr. Moxley. Meanwhile, he sits atop a mountain, hoarding gold while he eats and eats and eats leaving a wake of broken bodies behind. Dragon behavior much? I’m no mythical serpent, just a guy that’s found the damaged armor in Jon’s scales. A liberator, that has a legitimate claim to the Continental championship.”
Then came the line that stings the most. O’Reilly admitted he hasn’t held a singles title in a decade. He compared his journey to wandering a desert, adding, “Sunday I will either quench that thirst or go out on my shield—a noble effort either way.”
That is not the words of a man who plans to lose. That is a man ready to go to war.
But here is where it gets even more interesting for Moxley. He might have another predator circling him.
Former WWE star Tommaso Ciampa—yes, the Psycho Killer himself—recently took to Instagram Stories with a very clear message. He shared a graphic of Moxley and essentially declared that the Continental Title is in his future plans. Ciampa wants the gold too.
So tonight, Moxley has to survive O’Reilly. But even if he does, a bigger, meaner shark named Ciampa is already waiting in the deep end.
One thing is certain. The mountain Moxley is sitting on just got a lot more crowded. And the wolves are climbing fast.
