WWE Legend Shocks Fans: This New Star Will Headline WrestleMania 43, Not Bron Breakker
Jim Ross just dropped a major prediction that flips the WWE script completely. While most fans have been assuming Bron Breakker is the lock to main event WrestleMania 43, the legendary commentator says everyone is looking at the wrong superstar.
On the latest episode of his “Grilling JR” podcast, Ross made it clear that Oba Femi is his surprising pick to headline the show of shows. His reasoning comes down to one unforgettable moment.
“He’s got a better shot at it than anybody you and I can probably name right now, because he beat the monster,” Ross stated, referencing Femi’s shocking victory over Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42. He explained that Femi’s unique look and the company’s immediate commitment to him—letting him retire Lesnar—proves WWE sees him as a special attraction.

Ross admitted that Oba Femi is still raw and needs to work on his game, but insisted that WWE has to run with him now. “You got to run with a guy if you’re making that kind of commitment,” Ross said, naming Femi as his “slight favorite in the horse race” for next year’s world title match.
That doesn’t mean Ross is dismissing the other top names. He called Logan Paul the “best worker” of the group and the most talented bell to bell, even if critics judge him only on his physique. As for Bron Breakker, Ross acknowledged the undeniable power of wrestling DNA. “I love his game because he’s a legitimate tough athlete,” Ross said. But in the end, he ranked Breakker as a strong 1A, not the number one.
While Breakker spent his night at WrestleMania 42 spearing Seth Rollins in a shocking return from hernia surgery, Oba Femi stood in the ring as Brock Lesnar removed his gloves and boots for good. According to Jim Ross, that single win makes Femi the future headliner of WrestleMania 43.
